Having Our Say Budget Convenings

The workshops were held at the following locations:

  • July 23, 2008 - Modesto at Health Net, 1940 Crows Landing Road, Suite 10, 11:00 am to 1:00 pm followed by legislative visits
  • July 28, 2008 - San Diego at Tubman Chavez Multicultural Center, 415 North Euclid Avenue, 11:00 am to 1:00 pm followed by legislative visits

The Having Our Say Coalition would like to invite you to an important discussion on the budget crisis and what we can do to support efforts locally to stop the budget from being balanced on the backs of communities of color.

The purpose of the meeting is to hold a strategy discussion about possible messengers and advocacy efforts to reach out to policymakers on budget cuts. Convening will include legislative visits to state representatives and other elected officials.

Note: When registering for a convening, please choose a legislative visit in which to participate.
