Take Action: Expand Opportunities for Medical DREAMERs and Support Comprehensive Patient Experience Surveys!

Two important bills are being heard soon and your voice is needed to make sure they get through the first policy committee. Send your letters of support TODAY to urge the Assembly and Senate Health Committees to pass these important new policies:

  • AB 2670 (Hernandez) Improving Patient Experience in Medi-Cal: AB 2670 will help to improve patient experience and the quality of care provided in Medi-Cal by offering the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) survey to consumers more often and in more languages. Download a sample letter of support for AB 2670. Letters due by noon on Wednesday, April 6th
     
  • SB 1139 (Lara) Medical DREAMER Opportunity Act: SB 1139 provides an important step in addressing the chronic shortage of medical professionals in underserved communities by ensuring that all people, regardless of immigration status, have access to the state’s scholarship and loan forgiveness programs for health professionals.
