ABOUT THE MEETING
CPEHN is hosting five town hall meetings to hear your input into the draft Strategic Plan to Reduce Mental Health Disparities. At these events, which coincide with the 30-day public comment period, you can hear more about the project and provide feedback on how the plan can better serve your community's needs.
Interpretation will be available by request, so make sure to note any needs when registering.
Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Parking and public transportation information will be sent upon registration.
Please note: we will not be providing copies of the 61-page draft strategic plan at the event, but will provide copies of key sections and other handouts.
If you would like to share comments or feedback on the draft strategic plan, please email CRDPStrategicPlan@cpehn.org.
Part of the California Reducing Disparities Project (CRDP), funded by the Mental Health Services Act (Proposition 63), the strategic plan provides community-driven strategies to reduce disparities in racial, ethnic, and LGBTQ communities by:
- Identifying culturally and linguistically appropriate strategies to improve access, services, and outcomes for racial, ethnic, and LGBTQ populations, and
- Providing recommendations to the state for funding and evaluating culturally-rooted, community-defined promising practices over a four-year pilot program.
The plan was developed based on research compiled by partners in five populations: African Americans, Asians and Pacific Islanders, Latinos, LGBTQ communities, and Native Americans.
