Policy Manager

The California Pan-Ethnic Health Network (CPEHN) is seeking a full-time Policy Manager. This position may be based anywhere in California. CPEHN maintains offices in Oakland and Sacramento. The Policy Manager is responsible for assisting with the development, management, and implementation of CPEHN’s policy agenda. The Policy Manager works closely with the Senior Policy Manager and the Policy Team to develop CPEHN’s policy priorities with a special focus on administrative priorities in behavioral, oral, and primary health. The Policy Manager will help the organization develop policy priorities to meet the demands of emerging issues.

We are looking for someone to join our team who is passionate about health equity and has a background in policy research, data analysis and working with communities of color. Our ideal candidate is someone who demonstrates strong research and writing skills, exhibits effective advocacy with policy makers and working groups, and has skill in analysis and critical thinking. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned advocate to apply their skills and be a part of a fantastic team working to improve health equity in communities of color in California.

Senior Legislative Advocate

The California Pan-Ethnic Health Network (CPEHN) is seeking a full-time Senior Legislative Advocate. This position is based out of Sacramento. The Senior Legislative Advocate is responsible for the development, management, and implementation of CPEHN’s state legislative initiatives, including in the areas of oral, mental, primary health, and health equity.

We are looking for someone to join our team who is passionate about health equity and has a background in California statewide policy advocacy and working with communities of color. Our ideal candidate is someone who demonstrates strong public speaking skillsexhibits effective advocacy with policymakers and agencies, and has skills in analysis and critical thinking. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned advocate to apply their skills and be a part of a fantastic team working to improve health equity in communities of color in California.

Harbage Fellow

The Peter Harbage Fellowship offers exceptional MPH and MPP candidates a prestigious way to start their career. It provides a competitive salary with benefits and a chance to work directly with the most talented health policy leaders in California.

Get high-profile experience, build a leadership network, and get paid doing it. The fourth Peter Harbage fellow will be based in Sacramento (if not virtual), where they will receive direct mentoring from health policy veteran, Kiran Savage-Sangwan, Executive Director of the California-Pan Ethnic Health Network.

Throughout the fellowship, awardees also get the chance to interview and engage other top leaders in the California health policy field – including state agency directors, health plan CEOs, foundation leaders, and other respected experts. Only MPH and MPP candidates preparing to graduate from California institutions and University of Michigan are invited to apply. One fellowship is awarded each year.
