Liberated Minds

Welcome to Liberated Minds, CPEHN’s mental health newsletter! This newsletter is not meant to be a one-way digest, but rather a conversation as we build a more just and equitable community together. We’ll be featuring policy and advocacy updates, upcoming events, and recommended books, movies, and podcast about mental health and racial justice. Please send us your feedback and your submissions.

Why “Liberated Minds”? At CPEHN we believe that meeting the mental health and wellness needs of BIPOC communities means uplifting and celebrating our strengths, our cultures, and our diversity. It means building solidarity between BIPOC communities and recognizing that our struggles for mental health, racial justice, health, and equity are intertwined. It’s time to liberate ourselves from a deficit mindset driven by structural and institutional racism and instead embrace a community-driven approach to resilience.

Our deepest gratitude to our community partners for their generosity in sharing their wisdom and teaching us what equity really means. We look forward to continuing on this path alongside each of you. Thanks for staying in this fight with us.
