CPEHN is excited to release the California Reducing Disparities Project: Strategic Plan to Reduce Mental Health Disparities. This report was developed by the California Pan-Ethnic Health Network in partnership with the California Reducing Disparities Project Partners.
The California Reducing Disparities Project (CRDP) was launched in 2009 as a core component of California’s Mental Health Services Act (Proposition 63). The CRDP focuses on five populations, including African Americans; Asians and Pacific Islanders (API); Latinos; Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Questioning (LGBTQ) communities; and Native Americans, and provides community-driven recommendations to reduce mental health disparities through policy change and program development.
The Strategic Plan to Reduce Mental Health Disparities was developed by the California Pan-Ethnic Health Network (CPEHN) alongside our partners representing diverse populations in California. The Strategic Plan is a community-driven and community-authored document that provides a roadmap for reducing mental health disparities in unserved, underserved, and inappropriately served communities.
