Community Resilience: Uniting for Mental Health Equity in the Bay Area

California Pan-Ethnic Health Network (CPEHN) and Disability Rights California (DRC) are partnering with the Center for Empowering Refugees and Immigrants (CERI), Interfaith Movement for Human Integrity, RAMS Inc., Korean Cultural Center of the East Bay (KCCEB), Interfaith Movement 4 Human Integrity, and Southeast Asian Resource Center (SEARAC) to host a community conversation in Oakland on recent mental health policy changes!
Event Agenda:
- Landscape Analysis: Explore the current mental health landscape, recent policies including SB 43, CARE Court, and Proposition 1, and the implications of these policies for communities of color and individuals with disabilities.
- Small Group Discussions: Engage in dialogue, sharing reactions, concerns, and strategies with fellow regional community organizations and members to preserve community care.
- Special guest speaker: Stacie Hiramoto of The Racial & Ethnic Mental Health Disparities Coalition (REMHDCO)
